SUMMARY
Coach Ken Carter returns to his former high school in Richmond, California. He fills the vacant coaching job for the boys' basketball team. Coach Carter turns the once struggling team around. Ken Carter implies strict rules to ensure a winning team. When his players do not meet the academic standards that he had set, Carter locks the boys out of the gym. Several practices are cancelled as well as games. Coach Carter sticks to his discpline and continues the winning streak. The Richmond High School Boys' Basketball Team goes to the state playoffs and shocks the basketball world.
